How to open a document comparison from email
How it Works
Once you have installed the add-on, simply open any email containing a Word or PDF attachment that you would like to compare to a previous version, then open the Recital add-on and click the Compare button.
Your web browser will open a new tab taking you directly to the Compare page in Recital. If the email contains multiple attachments, Recital will prompt you to select the attachment you would like to compare. Recital will assign the attachment as the Revised version of the contract, and if a previous version of the document is detected in Recital, it will also suggest the most recent version to compare against as the Original. From there, you can begin your comparison.
Security
When the Recital button is clicked, the Outlook Add-in only accesses the ID of the currently-selected email. It then opens a web browser with that email ID in the URL. No other data is accessed or sent.
The Recital for Gmail Add-in itself does not access or send your data. It adds a button to your email that opens a link in the Recital web application with an identifier for the selected email; the Recital application then fetches the information about that email attachment.
