The .doc format is the older file format used by Microsoft Word prior to 2007. Microsoft’s modern Word add-in platform only supports .docx files, the newer format introduced with Word 2007.
This limitation is due to Microsoft Word itself, not Recital.
To use the Recital Add-in with a .doc file, you’ll need to convert it to .docx first. You can do this directly in Word:
Open the .doc file in Microsoft Word.
Go to File > Save As.
Choose Word Document (*.docx) as the file type.
Save the file and reopen it if needed.
Once your file is in .docx format, the Recital Add-in will be available for use.
