How to Use the Comparison Feature

Open the Recital Add-in. Launch Word, and open the Recital Add-in by selecting it from the toolbar.

Access the Comparison Screen. Click on Compare to open the Comparison screen. You’ll see two tabs at the top: Files and Text.

Option 1: Compare Files

Use this option to compare two documents.

Select Your Documents. Drag and drop the original and revised files into their respective spots. Alternatively, click Upload File to browse for and select the files. Both Word and PDF files are accepted.

Generate the Redline. Click Compare. A new Word window will open, displaying the redline.

Recital generates a fresh comparison every time. All tracked changes in the redline are attributed to Recital Compare.

Option 2: Compare Text

Use this option to quickly compare text snippets or sections from documents.

Select or Paste Text. Paste text into the comparison fields, or select text directly from your open Word document.

Generate the Redline. A redline will instantly display. Click Clear All to clear both inputs.
